Choreographer Alex DaSilva is expected to be released from a Los Angeles jail today after Los Angeles prosecutors declined to press sexual assault charges against him. DaSilva, one of the choreographers from “So You Think You Can Dance,” who was arrested last Saturday night for allegedly sexually assaulting four former dance students (at different times).

DaSilva has been in jail since Saturday. The prosecutor’s office indicated that further investigation is needed before it can make a determination about potential charges. A spokeswoman for the District Attorney’s Office said more alleged victims have come forward who have not yet been interviewed.

Alex DaSilva, one of the choreographers from “So You Think You Can Dance,” was arrested on Saturday for alleged sexual assaults on four of his dancing students.

Police say DaSilva lured the victims to his homes in North Hollywood and Van Nuys, CA from May 2003 to March 2009.  According to Los Angeles Police Department, the four victims used a ruse to get them into his bedroom where he raped them. The victims were apparently unaware of each other but their reports to police were nearly identical.

The LAPD believes there may be more victims. DaSilva’s bail has been set at $3.8 million.
