Mel Gibson has settled the lawsuit filed by a screenwriter over Gibson’s movie, The Passion of the Christ.
The court has been notified that the case is settled “in principal.”
Benedict Fitzgerald sued Gibson and several film companies for $10 million last year, claiming that the film’s budget was underreported to him in order to pay Fitzgerald a lower rate. Apparently the settlement comes on the heels of several courtroom losses for Fitzgerald. Several of the lawsuit’s claims were recently thrown out.
