snoop-doggRapper Snoop Dogg and his record label Doggystyle Records finally finished up that civil trial over the beating of a fan at a concert. The jury cleared Snoop but found the record label liable for $449,400. Plaintiff Richard Monroe Jr. originally sought $22 million.

Monroe jumped on stage during a Snoop Dogg concert and then got beat up by security. He claimed he was “left for dead” and that Snoop also got a hit in. He also alleged that Snoop Dogg encouraged fans to join him on-stage.

The jury watched video footage of the incident and cleared Snoop. They did feel someone was at fault though and found the label liable. Say that 10 times fast – label liable, label liable….
