Kiefer Sutherland will apparently be charged with misdemeanor assault in New York after allegedly headbutting designer Jack McCollough on Monday. Sutherland will reportedly turn himself into law enforcement in a few weeks.
The New York Daily News reports that the charge carries no jail time – so we may even be talking about a municipal ordinance violation.
Sutherland allegedly attacked McCollough – one half of the design team at fashion house Proenza Schuler – at an after-party for the annual Met Costume Gala. The altercation supposedly related to Brooke Shields somehow.
Sutherland is currently on probation for DUI in L.A. The The Los Angeles City Attorney’s office says they will be investigating to determine if the incident violated any of his probation terms.
