Toni Braxton Sues Lloyds of London Over Vegas Show

toni-braxtonSinger Toni Braxton has sued insurer Lloyd’s of London for refusing to pay out when she had to cancel her Vegas show due to heart problems. Braxton bought “non-appearance and cancellation insurance” from Lloyd’s prior to her extended residency at the Flamingo Hotel in 2006.

Braxton later had to cancel the remainder of her scheduled shows because of heart problems.

Lloyd’s now claims that the heart issues were due to a “pre-existing condition” and refuses to pay the hotel for its losses. Braxton obviously disagrees and has sued to force payment.

The amount of coverage available and the amount of losses suffered by the Flamingo are unknown.
