“One Tree Hill” star Antwon Tanner surrendered to federal prosecutors this morning and was arraigned this afternoon in Brooklyn Federal Court. He is charged with the illegal transfer of false identification documents and trafficking in unauthorized access devices between December 2005 and July 2008

Huh? Basically, the feds allege that Tanner, along with others, brokered/sold/transferred false Social Security cards (the “identification documents”) and, in doing so, trafficked Social Security numbers (the “access devices”). Both charges are felonies.
Tanner was indicted in February and an arrest warrant was issued. The indictment was sealed until Tanner was actually arrested.
Tanner is famous for playing high school basketball star Antwon “Skills” Taylor on the hit CW show “One Tree Hill.”
