If you’re old like me, then you remember (or were obsessed with) “Dirty Dancing” when it came out in the ’80′s. Patrick Swayze, Jennifer Grey, the dancing, the soundtrack. The total cheese. I wore knee-length cut-off jean shorts and white Keds with no socks for two summers after that movie.
Did I just admit that on teh internets? Crap.
Anyway, totally awesome soundtrack. Right? Well, remember that song “Hungry Eyes”? The singer of that song is Eric Carmen.
And, getting to the point here, Eric Carmen is going to jail in Ohio.
Back in September 2008, Carmen hit a fire hydrant, gave cops his credit card instead of his driver’s license and then blew a .23 – that’s one digit shy of being THREE times the legal limit.
Carmen was sentenced to 180 days in jail — but will only have to do 30 – and will pay a $1,000 fine. This was Carmen’s second DUI. He will begin serving his sentence on April 25.
