A New Jersey judge denied Ann Kelly’s request to have her divorce proceedings sealed from public review. Which wouldn’t be that big of a deal except Kelly is the woman alleged to have had an adulterous affair with Bruce Springsteen. Kelly’s husband, Arthur Kelly, made the allegations in his divorce petition a few weeks ago.
Ann Kelly had argued that the case was attracting too much media attention and was causing harm to the couple’s two kids. Her lawyer said, “[t]here are some very, very, very private details that will be disclosed” in the case. Well, if that doesn’t sound intriguing?!
The judge ultimately ruled that the state’s “strong policy” for open public records superseded any effort to avoid public embarrassment. And then she recommended that the Kellys “stop hating each other long enough to consider their children.”
Ann Kelly has denied any affair with Springsteen. The Boss released a statement which merely talked about how committed he was to his wife, Patti Scialfa.
