Howard K SternAnna Nicole Smith’s attorney/boyfriend Howard K. Stern will reportedly plead not guilty tomorrow morning at his arraignment on felony drug and conspiracy charges in L.A. This is typical, even in cases in which the defendant is actively negotiating a plea deal.

However, Stern reportedly maintains that he did nothing wrong and will refuse any plea offer from the prosecution. Stern and two physicians are charged with conspiring to furnish controlled substances to Smith, an addict, between July, 2004 and January 2007.

Stern has been represented in the media for several years by Atlanta attorney Lin Wood, former attorney for John and Patsy Ramsey in the JonBenet Ramsey case. Stern’s criminal case will be handled by criminal defense lawyers Steve Sadow of Atlanta and Christopher Smith of Los Angeles.
