Comedian Garry Shandling is being sued over a car accident that he allegedly cause back in January. According to the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Shandling was driving his Porsche on the Pacific Coast Highway and caused an injury accident.
The plaintiff is seeking more than $25,000 for wage loss, medical expenses, loss of earning capacity and property damage. The “more than $25,000″ language is purely jurisdictional – it is included just to show the court which section of the court it should be heard in. The claim could be as little as $25,001 or it could be for millions.
My money’s on millions. (Although that doesn’t mean the plaintiff will get it.)
