Los Angeles Clipper power forward Zach Randolph was arrested last night for DUI, just a few hours after the Clippers lost to the Lakers.
Randolph was pulled over by California Highway Patrol officers on the 405 Freeway at about 2:30 a.m. They observed his white Rolls Royce (seriously? A Clipper drives a RR?!) weaving in and out of his lane.
The official report notes that officers “noticed an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from within the vehicle” (which is exactly how they are taught to write their reports – can’t rightly say “He reeked of booze”, I guess). Randolph, who is listed at 6’9,” 255 pound failed several field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI.
Randolph has one prior DUI.
